The article is dedicated to topical problem of teaching
mathematics to foreign enrollees of preliminary
courses. The article displays the drawbacks of traditional
approach of full time education. They prove the
necessity of enhancement of efficiency of teaching foreign
enrollees. The research of scientific literature
upon the issue has revealed the way to increase the
effectiveness of teaching foreign enrollees – to optimize
teaching methods. It is possible to optimize teaching of
foreign enrollees by mixing types of education: full time
education and education by correspondence. It fully
satisfies the criteria of effectiveness.
