dc.description.abstractIn the elaboration “Public Management as a new model of authority in the public sector” the author writes about the application of the method concerning management in public administration/ the model that makes the applying of management methods in the local government possible is the Public management. The Public Management concentrates on the internal areas of administration, directly resulting from the strategic aims. Therefore it means the governing of the local administration with taking the influence of local politics into consideration. The basic condition which makes introducing such a concept of management possible is rebuilding and modernization of public sector in shape of structures' decentralization of the country administration. In the Public Management we can use the modified models of management: Total Quality Management, Management by Objectives, Management by Competition, Corporate Identity, Lean Management. The advantages of applying the concept of Public Management are: the elasticity of reaction to changes, the improvement of the city’s competition, the rationalization of costs, the improvement of the city's competition, the rationalization of costs, the improvement of services’ quality, the growth of labour’s productivity, the change in workers' mentality for the orientation on the citizens/customers.
