Abstract

At present, much attention is paid to the problem of calculating buildings taking into account accidental loads. With the introduction of TKP EN 1991-1-7, the situation has changed significantly for the better. However, in some cases the requirements of the standard are very unconcrete, which leads to their subjective interpretation. Even more practical implementation is complicated by the fact that these requirements are quite new for the designers of the post-Soviet space and the lack of explanatory literature. Inaccuracies in the method of localised failure in buildings from an unspecified cause are demonstrated in the article.
