| dc.description.abstract | В статье анализируется деятельность православного церковного братства во имя святителя Николая и преподобной княжны Евфросинии в сфере культуры и образования на протяжении 1867–1914 годов. Рассматриваются организация братской библиотеки, устройство внебогослужебных чтений и бесед, распространение церковных предметов и религиозно-нравственной литературы, участие в торжествах, связанных с возвращением св. мощей преподобной Евфросинии Полоцкой из Киева в Полоцк. Подробно исследуется деятельность братства в сфере народного образования. Выделяются четыре этапа в культурно-просветительной деятельности полоцкой братской организации. Делается вывод, что работа указанного церковно-общественного объединения была направлена на укрепление православия и развитие русской культуры в Полоцкой епархии. | ru_RU |

| dc.abstract.alternative | The article analyzes the activities of the Orthodox Church brotherhood in the name of st. Nikolai and st. duchess Efrosinia in the sphere of culture and education in the 1867–1914 period. Are considered the foundation of the brotherhood library, organization of non-divine-service readings and discussions, spread of church objects and religious and moral literature, participation in the festivities connected with the return of st. Efrosinia of Polotsk relic from Kiev to Polotsk. In detail are investigated the brotherhood's activities in the sphere of public education. Are singled out four stages in the cultural and instructive activities of Polotsk brotherhood organization. A conclusion is made that the work of the indicated church and public association was directed at strengthening Orthodoxy and developing Russian culture in the eparchy of Polotsk. | ru_RU |
